Very happy to see my e brake is engaged before I take off.This was to replace the parking break indicating switch. On a 2000 F150.It is not a exact replacement. I had to bend the tab the wire connector attaches to. Too allow it to be mounted.So the description that this will fit a 2000 F150 is incorrect. The picture I’ve included is of the original switch on the right along with the replacement I received.As is evident in the picture the tab for the wire to connect to is not in the same ordination.It will fit but only after being modified.Which is what I did.The reason for not sending it back was that after disassembly of everything to remove the old switch.It wasn’t worth the hassle of returning it.It was easier to just bend the wire connection to allow it to be installed.Once installed it works. Allowing once agin for indication of parking brake engagement on the instrument cluster.
