Standard Motor Ignition Switch US467 - Reliable Car Engine Starter

As a mechanic I can say that this switch is in every way as reliable as the original. For the do it yourselfers The only real obstacle you will face is the switch assembly is clamped to the steering shaft housing. This posses a problem because as an anti-theft precaution Honda at the factory installed the clamp with security type bolts. A security bolt is a bolt that is design to intentionally have its head snap off once it has reached the proper torque leaving no way to remove the bolt with any tool. The quickest and easiest way to remove the switch is NOT to try and remove the bolts. It is much faster if you look at the clamp at the 6 o'clock position there is a small gap in the clamp. The threads of the bolt can be seen in the gap. A hacksaw blade slide into this gap will make quick work of the two bolts and the clamp will fall away allowing you to remove the switch using only a screwdriver and a hacksaw blade. Definitely a job that can be done by anyone who is handy with tools and save yourself a lot of money.
